The Ferrari Testarossa went into production in 1984 as the successor to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer. The Pininfarina-designed car was originally produced from 1984 to 1991. This was not the first Testarossa or to be the last in Ferrari's Red-Headed history. Evolving one of the most iconic cars in history is usually a headache for any automotive manufacturer, but Ferrari effortlessly leapt the divide to welcome the legendary 512 TR in the Nineties.

Aesthetically Pininfarina softened the lines and updated the car to the trend of the design cues for the following years, but the real differences were introduced in Maranello.

Over 20 different upgrades increased power from 380 to 421hp slashing almost a second off the 0-100km/h interval to a mere 4.8 seconds on the way to a top speed of 313.8km/h.

A redesigned chassis and frame increased rigidity by 25 percent, which together with a lowered centre of gravity, 40kg of weight reduction, new suspension tuning, new brakes, larger wheels, new clutch, strengthened gearbox and a 40 percent limited slip differential meant that the 512 TR redefined the experience of driving a supercar.

Delivered new on the 15th of May, 1995 through Italian Motors, Hong Kong and arriving on Australian shores in 2010 this exceedingly well maintained car has travelled just 27,871 kilometres.

One of just 50 RHD 512 TR's produced, the car offered here is arguably one of the finest in the country.

Finished in the most desirable combination of Rosso Corsa over Tan and Black leather trim, its condition is exemplary, its factory numbers confirm its original identity and it is also a later model car equipped with ABS, believed to be fitted to just 38 cars.

Inside, all of the original switchgear is still present, the stitching across the sports seats shows zero signs of age, and the fire red gauges and low-slung driving position all work to create one standout cockpit.

Accompanying the car are three thoroughly comprehensive history folders including the original manuals bound within the leather wallet showing a complete Ferrari service history, invoices for factory parts and servicing, a detailed compilation of ownership history, both original keys as well as the rare dealer delivery key and the original dealer brochure.
