British automaker Rover officially re-launched the Mini Cooper in September of 1990 basing the new design on the 'Mini 30', the most luxurious design to date and enlarging the engine to 1,275cc for an exciting performance upgrade.
Thrusting the Mini into a brand new era, other enhancements introduced by Rover included twin-point fuel injection, higher final drive gearing, driver's airbag, side impact beams, additional sound insulation, more ergonomic seating and a front-mounted radiator for more efficient cooling.
The Mini was better than ever and still carried the classic and oh so charming design originally penned by Alec Issigonis.
Available here is an excellently presented 1997 Mini Cooper ordered from factory in two tone British Racing Green Metallic with White roof over Dark Green leather interior and features just 39,000 kilometres.
Originally delivered to Japan and arriving on Australian Shores in 2013, this very original car was optioned with the sporty 13" x 6" Minilite-style alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, timber embellished interior trim and air-conditioning.
The overall condition is outstanding, from the excellent paintwork and gleaming chrome trim to the original unblemished alloys and seemingly unused interior trim from the dash dials, door cards and plush carpets. Offering an incredibly exciting drive wrapped in a charismatic little package with room for four adults, this Mini Cooper offers great fun and for great value.
Beautifully well maintained, well equipped, offered in a classically styled colour combination and featuring just 38,000 kilometres this 1997 Mini Cooper is ready to roll off the showroom floor.
