Very few cars have influenced the modern automotive world more significantly than the Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R.

Affectionately known as 'Godzilla', this generation of GT-R was disqualified from racing the world over simply because it would annihilate its competition.

At the heart of the R32 GT-R was Nissan's 2.6-litre straight-six with twin ceramic turbochargers and intercooler, allied with a sophisticated adjustable AWD system and HICAS all-wheel steering, the R32 was a devastatingly good road car.

Unofficially, this car once held the lap record on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife but more importantly, absolutely and controversially dominated the Australian Touring Car Championship in 1991.

Watching two GT-R’s, steered by Mark Skaife and Jim Richards carve up Commodores, Falcons, M3’s and Cosworth’s to win 7 of 9 ATCC championship races, then get booed by the crowd for comprehensively winning the 1991 Bathurst 1000 to which Jim Richards famously remarked “you’re all a pack of A**holes” to the car then being banned from the championship before crucifying the local car market will go down in racing folklore and the cars storied history.

Just 100 Australian delivered GT-Rs arrived on our shores to a tune of $110,000 each and they were the only Skylines ever officially delivered outside of Japan.

Key visual identifiers of Australian delivered cars include Nissan badging on the bonnet, 300ZX blinker repeaters ahead of the doors, the high-mount stop light and amber turn signal lenses, Blaupunkt sound system with roof-mounted aerial and speedometers limited to 260km/h, although the car was capable of a lot more, on a midnight run…

Sold new by Main North Nissan, Adelaide in November of 1992 this superb Australian delivered R32 GT-R still carries the original selling dealer sticker on the rear windscreen and is 1 of just 25 KG1 Jet Silver Metallic cars that we received. 45 were in Red and 30 in Black.

Carrying the all-important Australian Delivered Prefix- 40ZKBNR32RX -this rare find has travelled just 39,000 kilometres and still carries all of its factory trim from the leather gear shifter to the radio, iconic bucket seats and well-preserved steering wheel.

With near unlimited performance potential and a budding tuner scene, most GT-R’s were heavily modified so today it’s becoming increasingly harder to find an original car.

Historically referred to in the US as Japan's 'Forbidden Fruit' supercar, the R32 has also recently been cleared for their 25-year import rule. Both of these factors have and will continue to drive demand and prices skywards.

Accompanied by its original leather wallet containing the car's books including a “How to Drive your GT-R” manual, the original keys and completed service booklet.

A rare opportunity to own and drive a landmark car within Japanese motoring history and Australian racing folklore this low kilometre, superbly kept and original Australian delivered R32 GT-R is the one to own.
