WPCS 2.1.0

For its 4th generation, Porsche invested heavily in its halo car and produced perhaps the most pivotal 911 to date.

The Type 993 911 Carrera was/is 80% newer over the outgoing Type 964 with all new curvalicious architecture, a much improved multi-link rear suspension set-up and a heavily worked 3.6 litre engine.

Over the 964, the new 911 engine now produced 272hp, pushing air-cooled tech to its ultimate capabilities and uniquely, was the last to leave Stuttgart.

Increasingly collectable and irresistibly drivable, the 993 perfectly blends classic 911 styling with usable modern tech.

An upright windscreen, small dimensions, unburstable build quality interior switchgear and a mechanical gearshift feel deliver a beautiful classic drive whilst power delivery and razor-sharp chassis responses plant the car to the road and don’t ask questions before launching you from 0-100kmh in just 5.4 seconds.

Delivered new to Melbourne through Hamiltons, Richmond available here is a 1994 Porsche 911 Type 993 Carrera 2 in its original Midnight Blue Metallic paintwork over Blue perforated leather trim in outstanding condition.

Travelled just 125,000 kilometres from new and optioned with tiptronic transmission, cruise control, sunroof, electric seats, air conditioning and upgraded CD/Radio sound system all tell-tale signs show how meticulously well this car has been maintained.

The interior still carries the classic 911 aroma, the leather seats are still firm to the touch and the dash and original instrument binnacle show zero signs of age.

Outside, the body work still presents with the same pragmatic Porsche panel fit, the original Sekurit glass is still present right throughout the car, the original Cup alloys present with no wear and even the original Bosch headlights are still accounted for.

With excellent maintenance history this 993 Carrera benefits from a recent major service and new, correct Bilstein shock absorbers supplied and fitted by Porsche specialists as well as new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted just 5,000kms ago.

Supplied with its original leather-bound book pack, service booklet and original 1993 Porsche 911 brochure this remarkably well maintained 993 Carrera is a car that lifts your spirits in a way that a hunk of metal and four tyres really shouldn’t.

The air-cooled motor has so much character with its whirring and purring style and the engaging drive means you need to put thought into what you’re doing in a way that newer, fly by wire cars can’t offer anymore.

Excellently well prepped for its next fortunate custodian, this 993 not only offers great investment potential, this is an asset that is the ultimate expression of personal freedom.
