The Tony Hatter designed Porsche 993 could be the most pivotel 911 to hit the market to date.

Compared to the earlier Type 964 the Type 993 911 Carrera was 80% newer with an all new coke bottle style architecture, a much-improved multi-link rear suspension set-up and a heavily worked 3.6 litre engine.

Only from 1996 was VarioRam introduced to the air-cooled 911 engine which improved output to 272hp, pushing air-cooled tech to its definitive capabilities and ultimately, was the last of the breed to leave Stuttgart.

An upright windscreen, small dimensions, retro switchgear and a mechanical gearshift feel deliver that signature classic 911 drive whilst power delivery and razor-sharp chassis responses plant the car to the road asking zero questions before launching you from 0-100kmh in just 5.4 seconds.

Sold new through York Motors in July of 1997 we have a very rare car that was perhaps one of the last 993 Carreras to be delivered and would’ve been a special order from the factory.

Presented in Arctic Silver over special order Chestnut leather interior trim and new soft top, this very original and rare example has travelled just 120,000 kilometres since new.
