The GT-R PRO is a triumph of evolution, stemming from the two seater sport car, a category of car that was created and perfected in the 50’s by its great grandfather the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing.

The look of the Gullwing was reborn in 2010 with the SLS AMG but it was more a grand touring luxury car and it became evident a hotter model would have to emerge. 2014 saw Mercedes release the AMG-GT and the rest was history.

Before us we have the AMG GTR Pro, the closest relative in performance and intent to the Mercedes-AMG GT3 racing car that has hotly contested many of the world’s most prestigious sports car races.

Unlike many brands that create a road going version of their GT3 counterpart the Mercedes retains most of its civilities of its grand touring predecessors. You are surrounded by nappa leather, the carbon bucket seats are surprisingly comfortable ready for a long road trip but are then contrasted by a half cage and the option to have over the shoulder harnesses.
