Penned by Pininfarina the Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, made its introduction at the Brussels Salon in January, 1964 during the era known in Europe as 'la dolce vita'.
Commonly referred to as the Series 1, these early cars offered a distinct quad headlight design and a Gioacchino Colombo designed high output 300hp V12 engine adorned with triple Weber 40DCZ/6 carburettors and mated to the 4-speed manual gearbox complete with overdrive. With a total production run of just 59 cars in right hand drive, these early 330GT 2+2's are not only revered for their race-bred yet very versatile drive, they're also incredibly rare and very collectable, after all the 330 GT 2+2 S1 was John Lennon's first car.
Available here, this Australian delivered and very original 330GT 2+2 Series 1 was sold new to Adelaide, South Australia in 1964.
Recently released from 23 years of private ownership this 330GT, maintaining as much originality as possible, was subject to a sympathetic programme of restoration and re-commissioning in 1990 through specialists based here in Australia.
The exacting detail of restoration means that today, this car presents in excellent condition. Tell-tale signs like the well preserved timber dash and chrome instrumentation, original radio and rich leather upholstery show how well the car has been maintained since.

Outside, the original chrome bumpers and fittings, cream paintwork and arrow straight bodywork give the car an elegant road presence, even the correct Borrani wire knock-off wheels are still on the car- a credit to the last owner and an asset to the next as values continue to climb north.
Accompanying the car is a detailed history file with service and restoration receipts, ownership history and owner's manual, Ferrari keys and most importantly, the original tool kit bound within its leather wallet.
Only very few of these early 330 GT's exist still today, many having been used as donors for replicas of the GT250 SWB or Testarossa racing Ferraris.
A favourite of Enzo Ferrari, it is only on the very rare occasion that an Australian delivered and very original Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series 1 is available to own, drive and enjoy.
Excellently prepared, this special Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series 1 offers an exciting opportunity to own and invest in a landmark slice of Ferrari history.
