In 1963, Alfa Romeo introduced the replacement for its formidable Giulietta Sprint coupe, the Giulia beginning a purple patch of automotive engineering known as the 105 series.

Penned by a 22 year old Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone, the Giulia's clean, simple and distinctive architecture is considered to be one of the most beautiful automotive designs of the 1960s.

The Giulia featured a lively, all aluminium twin-cam four-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission encased within a body that weighs just 900kgs. A race-bred combination that used engineering ingenuity as a replacement for displacement.

Exhilarating driver's cars, the 105 Series was an immense success for Alfa Romeo, enjoying a 15-year production run until 1977.

The most engaging and today the most collectable version of this series is the colloquially known “Step-Nose “or more formally Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.

Offered here is an unexampled Australian delivered Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce presenting in mint, professionally restored condition.

Rebuilt from the ground up between 2010-2015 particular attention was paid to the finest details from the mechanicals right through to the refurbishment of original Becker Europa radio. The intention was to keep the car as original as possible but also extract the utmost out of what the Step Nose can offer.

Just released from long term, tempered storage this Alfa still carries its correct and many original fittings from the Carrello headlights, overriders, bucket seats, timber interior trim and even the signature ‘Made In Italy’ decal still present inside the engine bay and all in outstanding condition.

Accompanying the car is an original maintenance booklet and owner’s manual, photographs of the restoration and receipts for all genuine Alfa parts sourced. A tell-tale sign of just how well this car has been maintained.

Some cars are so beautiful that they hit you like a canned ham fired from a cannon.

An incredibly rare and unrivalled Alfa Romeo “Step Nose”, the likes of which even we rarely see, this sports classic is something exceptional.
