1988 Ferrari 328 GTS

The Type 328 succeeded the vaunted Ferrari Type 308 line-up, and when it first appeared in 1985, it quickly became a sporting style icon of the indulgent 1980’s.

Boasting cleaner lines, an uprated interior and significantly enhanced performance over its predecessor, the 328 delivered a cockpit experience to be remembered. Producing 270 horsepower and a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 5.6 seconds and a brilliantly mechanical feeling chrome gated manual transmission, on its debut Motorsport Magazine remarked, “All the superlatives have been trotted out time and again, but the 328’s impeccable balance, terrific grip and uncanny stability rouse the taste buds of even the most jaded motoring palate.”

We’re proud to present this excellently well maintained and very original 1989 328 GTS. One of the last examples of the Type 328 to be sold within Australia, this car was delivered new in November of 1989 by SVM Ferrari, Sydney ordered in Rosso Corsa over Nero Leather with pinstriped parcel shelf.

Just released from long-term ownership and travelling just 104,000 km’s this excellently well maintained 328 GTS is not only accompanied by its factory log books and tools but also a swathe of invoices attesting to the meticulous maintenance it has received across its 30 year lifespan.

This includes the last Cambelt major service in 2016 and the latest detailed service in February this year.

In lovely original condition this car still features its original 16 inch Campagnolo alloys, indelibly iconic Carello quad tail light lenses, its original Targa top in stunning condition and finer details like the fire orange Veglia Borletti instrumentation, double stitched leather seats in mint condition and even the Sekurit window glass. All tell-tale signs of a truly cherished car.
