Famously penned by Benjamin Dimson, the Porsche 911 type 964 was introduced in 1989 and one of the rarest and most thrilling vehicles within the 911’s unrivalled lineage is the Type 964 3.6 Turbo.

With big shoes to fill replacing the 930 Turbo, the Type 964 Turbo, due to production hurdles, budget and time constraints was initially released with a 3.3 litre engine derived from its predecessor, producing an underwhelming 315 horsepower and 332 pound feet of torque that most enthusiasts were disappointed to read.

But by 1993, the 964 Turbo received an all-new engine to critical acclaim. Upped to 3.6 Liters with higher compression and most importantly, more boost the new turbocharged M64 engine spooled power to 360 horsepower and a tarmac melting 385 pound feet of torque!

Top speed was recorded by Porsche at 280 km/h, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h dispatched in just 4.8 seconds and a kilometer can be covered in a blistering 23.3 seconds.
 
Not just incredibly powerful this 911 was also only made for a very limited time, built from 1993 to 1994. With less than 1,500 cars by production’s end, late 964 Turbo 3.6’s are one of the rarest and most highly coveted 911 models to date.

The car offered is a numbers matching, exceedingly original RHD 1993 Porsche 911 Type 964 3.6 Litre Turbo in very original condition and optioned from factory in Midnight Blue Metallic over Rubicon Grey trim.

Originally delivered new to the UK and one of just 83 cars produced in RHD this rare car still wears many of its original features including the priceless 18-inch three-piece Speedline Alloys, “Big Red” brake calipers, sunroof, cruise control, electronic and heavily bolstered sports seats, Turbo spoiler and even the original Blaupunkt stereo.

Stepping through the rock solid doors you immediately notice how well this car has been maintained, from the original switch gear, VDO instruments, leather seats with typical German precision stitching to the correct carpets and mats, and even the original air-bag steering wheel this cars interior is totally unmodified and well preserved.
