The 911 Type 996 GT3 Mk1 was launched at the 1999 Geneva Motorshow in a temporary window for Porsche where an old-school approach to driver assistance met a legendary engine and tyre combination.

More specifically the iconic racing M96/72 Mezger engine tucked into this cars rear end delivering limitless torque that represented a high bar for naturally aspirated engines at the turn of the century and made the first GT3, Porsche’s fastest ever road car.
