2007 FPV GT-R Spec Cobra BF MkII

Thanks to the victory of the Ford Falcon XC Hardtop at the 1977 Bathurst 1000 race, it was in 1978 Ford released a limited-edition Cobra XC Hardtop with the iconic livery of White with Blue Stripes.

Fast forward to the 2007 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, exactly 30 years later the Ford Falcon dominated once more with a three-podium finish, therefore it was only fitting that Ford released the rendition of the original, the FPV GT R-Spec Cobra.

Sold almost immediately just 400 Sedans and 100 Utes were built alongside other special editions for the runout of the BF II with the Cobra regarded as the most collectible.

With most manufacturer special editions, it is usually a marketing ploy featuring a new set of wheels with special livery but not only did the Cobra benefit from the R-Spec handling package, it also featured an output increase to 302kW powering its rear wheels from its already monstrous 5.4 Litre Quad-Cam BOSS V8.

Offered here is one for the collector, a 2007 FPV GT R-Spec Cobra BF MKII No. 35 sold new through Brad Garlick Ford Ryde, Sydney ordered with the 6-Speed Manual Transmission.

Today in excellent preserved condition after sitting in a collection this Cobra has travelled just 33,722 kilometres since new.

This FPV is accompanied with its original set of keys, log books, ownership manual and its official FPV Performance INC. factory display folder including a Certificate of Authenticity.

With the Ford Falcon no longer manufactured here in Australia, this is an excellent opportunity to invest in a high-performance rear wheel drive Australian V8 muscle classic.
