It's big, it's bold, it's beautiful and it's brand new.

The new Land Rover Defender has big shoes to fill. For Land Rover; it has to show off how far the brand has come, for its new Audience; it has to be modern, practical and comfortable, and for those die-hard Landy enthusiasts; it needs the ability to climb every mountain, wade through every river and stream better than its ancestors ever could and it does this…. outstandingly.

With the launch of the First Edition cars, all cars are to be 110’s fitted with the D240 2.0L Twin-Turbocharged Diesel 4-Cylinder delivering its 177kW and 430Nm of torque to a smooth and fast 8-speed automatic transmission complemented with 20” alloy wheels as standard and features electronic air-suspension, refrigerator compartment, special half leather and half textile interior trim, Terrain Response 2 and adaptive dynamics.

Day to day and motorway driving in the Defender is incredibly different to its predecessor, its precision steering, supple ride and beautiful interior layout filled with goodies grants it luxury status.

In the corners; if you’re familiar with early Defender’s you’ll know cornering wasn’t their strongest point, but the new generation, due to its body control and air-suspension, makes fast pace driving even the most tricky and bumpy roads impressively effortless and pleasurable.

For those looking to travel off the beaten track, the new Defender is equipped with a list of electronics longer than Merlin’s beard.

The Terrain Response system is one of the key off-road features and allows you to tailor the vehicle to the terrain you’re driving on; it adjusts the throttle and transmission mapping, locking of the diffs, the ride height, the slip-control thresholds and more. The ‘wade’ setting even shuts off the cabin air intakes. Clever stuff.
