In Aston Martin’s vocabulary convertibles are called Volante’s, centre stacks are called façades and the key is actually called an Emotional Control Unit. In 2007 Aston Martin along with the new revisions for the DB9 platform, the British automaker finally brought us after 5 years the first line of DB9 Volante’s and they were utterly gorgeous.
The sweet spot was in 2009 when Aston Martin respectively improved the performance by increasing the naturally aspirated 5.9 litre symphonic V12 to 470 hp and 600 Nm of torque to achieve 0 – 100 in just 4.6 seconds and after removing the top speed restriction the DB9 Volante could top out at 300 km/h.The ‘Touchtronic’ transmission has also been worked over via a new hydraulic control unit that enables quicker and more precise low-speed gear changes, also the suspension has been improved featuring Bilstein dampers as standard, suspension bushings have been revised and all new upper suspension arms have been installed providing more refinement to the Volante and of course torsional rigidity.
On the showroom floor we are excited to offer this immaculate 2009 Aston Martin DB9 Volante sold new by Trivett Classic, Sydney ordered in Meteorite Silver over Black Connolly leather and has travelled just 38,500 kms from new.
