Introduced in 1963, the 911 would be the flagship of Porsche production for 30 years, retaining the same basic construction yet constantly modified and uprated as the years went by.
With a layout broadly similar to the 356, early 911’s had a steel platform chassis with springing by torsion bars, MacPherson front struts and rear trailing arms, all mated to a glorious flat-6 air-cooled engine and a 5-speed manual transmission, as first seen on the Type 904.A lengthened wheelbase introduced in 1969 greatly improved the 911's handling, and then in 1970 the engine underwent the first of many enlargements- to 2.2 litres producing 125 horsepower, a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 10 seconds, with 4-wheel disc brakes as standard.
We are excited to bring to market this excellently restored and desirable original right-hand drive, numbers matching engine and chassis “small bumper” 911 T.
It was built in May of 1971 and ordered new to Great Britain in Signal Orange over black leatherette, optioned with a rear wiper, comfort equipment, tinted glass and electric windows.
The subject of a restoration completed in early 2019, this 911 T benefits from a respray in its original colour of Signal Orange with all exterior features either replaced or refurbished, its interior was totally re-trimmed, including an all-new dash, instrumentation, carpet, roof lining and the mechanicals received an overhaul by a marque specialist.
This Porsche is accompanied with 911 T manuals, sales brochures, technical specification booklets, original colour charts, complete toolkit, spare wheel and jack, along with invoices and receipts cataloguing works completed and parts purchased over the course of its restoration.
A great opportunity to own a highly collectible Porsche and being newly restored it is ripe and ready for its next custodian.
