In times of an oil crisis and automotive restraint, Porsche showed uncompromising attitude. From its motorsport dominance in virtually every form of international racing, the team at Weissach worked to develop a totally new road car.

With the first production turbocharged sports car, the world held its breath. The result wasn’t just a fast car, but the fastest and most powerful road car they had ever built. The 911 Turbo.

Adorned on almost all of our bedroom walls alongside its direct competition, the Testarossa and Countach, the 911 Turbo Type 930 offered a whirring purring air-cooled 3.0 litre flat-six-cylinder engine with single KKK turbocharger and Bosch electronic fuel injection, a robust four-speed manual transmission to handle the immense raw power, independent front and rear suspension, ventilated and cross-drilled power disc brakes all beneath arguably the most evocative Porsche design ever penned.

This original 911 Turbo is the 272nd of just 284 examples for that inaugural year. Built in June 1975, (just two months before the 76-model year) it is believed to be the last of the six 1975 models delivered in Australia.

Supplied new in Melbourne on 31st October 1975, this matching numbered Turbo is complete with original handbooks, tools and jack, along with Vehicle Built Confirmation sheet from Porsche Cars Australia.

A very original car, finished in Copper Brown Metallic with Brown Beige interior, the option list included Sports Seats, Sports Steering Wheel and Air-conditioning.

With four owners, (the most recent being 2002 to-date), in excellent mechanical condition, presentation and striking colour combination, it is the epitome of Porsche rarity and collectability world-wide.

If Porsche has its legends, then the 911 Turbo is its masterpiece. As the fastest production car in the world, it captivated its enthusiasts and pushed the limits of what was possible in a supercar. Porsche had taken the challenge of building an incredible performance model in an era when the powers that be fought against it.

Air-cooled 911’s have seen the most amazing growth over the past few years due their limited production and international appeal and the RHD 1975 911 Turbo stands amongst the rarest of Turbo production.

Being 1 of the 6 cars delivered to Australia, and 1 of now 11 original WW RHD production cars believed to be remaining, an opportunity like this come should not be missed.
