The Goggomobil Carry-All van is exceedingly rare. It’s believed that just 14 of these miniature commercial vans were produced, making them the lowest production Goggomobil for Australia and like the Dart, it was designed and built completely in house by Buckle himself.
At the forefront of utilitarian automotive design, the concept was “low price, low running-cost and high carrying capacity” with the Carry-All featuring a huge 2.8m3 carrying capacity, a large corrugated side roller door that allowed for easy loading and unloading, the passenger seat folds forward for even more freight space and it’s tiny size means it can fit into the smallest of laneways and inner city streets.Using the 400cc two-stroke engine found in the Dart, the Carry-All also had plenty of get-up and go, ideal for the tradie to carry a bulky load and its U-turn ability is less than 7 meters, perfect for getting out of a tight spot.
Similarly to the other Goggo’s available within the collection, this Carry-All was painstakingly restored to its original condition after spending over 10 years in storage.
The engine was totally rebuilt, as was the transmission, brakes and suspension. The body and chassis were separated for bead blasting and gel-coat work and after 18 months of detailed restoration, arguably the finest Carry-All in the country was produced.
Finished with Buckle Motors signwriting at the permission of the Goggfather, this rare and captivating Micro-Van is another knockout punch within this very desirable collection.
