Carmen Red | Fixed Head Coupé | 4 Speed Manual | 3.8 litre Inline 6 | 14,316 Original Miles | AU$349,995

WPCS 2.1.0

Launched at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, the E-Type became an instant global sensation with sporting lines aerodynamically shaped akin to fighter planes, a top speed of 150mph, all while maintaining an affordable price tag.

Upon its release, Enzo Ferrari himself famously declared the Jaguar E-Type as "The most beautiful car ever made," and it consistently topped various top 100 lists for decades.

The all-new Jaguar XKE-series design drew inspiration from the highly successful racing D-Type. It was constructed around a monocoque tub forming the main structure, with a tubular space frame extending forward to support the legendary 3.8-litre triple SU carburetted 265hp inline six-cylinder engine.

Among collectors and enthusiasts, the earliest variations of the E-Type are considered the purest.

Having covered just 14,316 miles since its delivery in Melbourne at Bryson Industries, we are pleased to present this all-original Carmen Red over a Biscuit interior Series 1. Untouched but meticulously maintained, we believe it to be one of the most original E-Types in Australia.

Changing hands only four times since new, with each owner enjoying it for several years, underscores the treasure that this car represents. All owners, based in Melbourne, and including some of Australia's leading engineers and barristers, contribute to a history file that should not be overlooked.

Accompanying the car is a fully documented history since new, complete with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and servicing receipts.

But that's not all; it gets even better. In addition to its history, the car comes with its original tyres (not currently mounted on the car).

As one of the finest right-hand drive, E-Type Coupés in the country, this leaping cat will not disappoint, and a viewing is a must to appreciate the originality of this exquisite E-Type.
