The Heckflosse (Tailfin) Mercedes-Benz effortlessly entered the luxury market in 1959 and was an instant hit, so much so production lasted until 1971. With a design withstanding the test of time it is easy to see why these luxury barges are some of the most collectable in the Mercedes range.

This 250 SE 2.5 is a desirable example of Mercedes-Benz’s classic coupé, retaining much of its original charm after being fully restored in the early 2000’s. Offered for sale in excellent all-round order; this striking 250 SE is sure to appeal to any marque enthusiast, and would make a particularly elegant and eye-catching weekend cruiser.

The W111 Mercedes-Benz models featured independent suspension, including at the rear by swing axles and a central, horizontal “compensating” coil spring.

A true driver’s car to be driven and not hidden, both the exterior and interior present with an authentic patina consistent with the age of the restoration. Offered with an extensive history file and step by step record of its restoration it is a credit to its previous owners and an asset for the next.

Delivered from Daimler Benz to Queensland it was originally sold by Brisbane Dealership Aust-Star Motors. Living a life owned by a string of Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts, it has an extensive list of Concours wins and achievements.

This 250 SE has a classically simple interior layout that underscores the attention to detail and quality of materials used, including long-lasting leather and genuine polished wood.

A classic that lets you have your cake and eat it too with ease of usability and striking pillarless looks makes it one for the savvy driver.
