"In 1963, Alfa Romeo introduced the 105 series Giulia model igniting a purple patch of automotive engineering.

Penned by a 22 year-old Giorgetto Giugiaro at the Bertone design house, the Giulia's distinct architecture is considered one of the most beautiful automotive designs of the 1960s.

It featured a now legendary rev-happy all aluminium twin-cam, four-cylinder engine mated to a crispy 5 speed manual transmission, a superb chassis, lightweight rear live axle and disc brakes all round held within a coupé body that weighs just 1,200 kgs.

A race-bred, front engine, rear drive combination that used engineering ingenuity as a replacement for displacement the 105 series Alfa’s are exhilarating driver's cars.

The driving position was right, the steering wheel felt as if it wanted to be caressed rather than just held, the seat held you in all the right places, even the seat belt, with its fluted webbing, instilled confidence.

Built in June 1970 destined for Sydney delivery, this special delivery 105 came with factory order leather interior in beautiful Rossa pelle.

Having only 2 owners in over 30 years from new, the GTV has had only 4 owners in total which all kept the continuation of its history documented and filed. When the car was purchased in the mid 00’s by one of the passionate Alfa Romeo owners, he entered into a long and committed ownership where a meticulous full back to metal restoration was carried out by a classic Alfa specialist who’s extra speciality is the 105 series.

Kept in the original factory specifications and colours, photos and receipts show the wonderful journey both owner and mechanic experienced during the restoration.

Being well known in the Alfa Community, the 1750 has always been a showstopper at meets and well mentioned in group conversations at cars and coffee gatherings.

Stepping inside and turning the key, it is instantly recognised the effort and knowledge used in continuing the originality and unique quality driving experience.

With the rapidly growing interest in classic Alfa Romeos and the strong appreciation in top level 105 GTVs, this particular example make for the perfect opportunity.
