What a period for Italy! Niki Lauda wins the Formula One World Championship in a Ferrari, Italian disco and hip thrusting are thriving, and Alfa Romeo gifts the sports car world with the Series 2 Spider.
The Alfa Romeo Spider (105/115 series) is a two-seater, front-engine, rear-drive roadster, succeeding the Giulia Spider. It was manufactured from 1966 to 1994 in four distinct series, each featuring modifications ranging from modest to extensive. Assembled by Pininfarina in Grugliasco, it became an icon of cool Italian automotive design in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.The 2-litre twin-cam engine produced over 130 hp through two Weber carburettors. Weighing just over 1000 kg and with a superb aerodynamic design, this combination made for a delightfully festive driving experience.
We are pleased to have on our showroom floor this lovely 2000 Spider Veloce, in the desirable Rosso with Nero interior—it is quintessentially Alfa. The beautiful curved lines, from the covered headlights to the Kamm-tail rear, are impossible not to admire.
