Penned by Wolfgang Möbius and released in 1978 to critical acclaim, the Type 928 was Porsche’s first foray into super-modern GT production and landed the European “Car of the Year” accolade, of which another sports-car hasn’t achieved since.

Porsche designed the 928 as a replacement for the aging 911. With unrivalled levels of refinement, luxury, technology, ground scorching V8 performance and futuristic styling the 928 was and still is one of the best driving and most sought after Porsche’s today.

The launch of the 928 S4 evolution in 1987 saw the engine increased to 5.0 litre’s over the original 4.7 litres developing a healthy 320hp, making it Porsche’s fastest ever production car.

To put this brawn into perspective, the 928 S4 motor makes one-third more power than Chevrolet's fuel-injected V8 and 104hp more than the Mercedes 5.0-litre V8- this was a genuine supercar.

Australian delivered and sold new by Scuderia Veloce Motors, Sydney in June 1990 this exceptionally well maintained 928 S4 was ordered in Marine blue Metallic over Dark Navy leather trim and has travelled an original and meticulously documented 48,000 kilometres.

Optioned with power seats, sunroof, electric windows, cruise control, climate control air-conditioning, central locking, metallic paint and the seamless 4 speed automatic transmission, this very desirable modern classic was priced at over $240,000.00 when sold new and today is arguably the best available.

Maintained with zero expense spared with the factory and then specialists thereafter over the past 30 years, this 928 S4 is in near new condition and excellent running and driving condition. A credit to the last owner and an asset to the next.

With zero modifications top to tail, going through all the finer details of this time machine is like stepping back into 1990. From the original Dolby digital stereo and proper switch gear, firm perforated leather seats and driver focused wrap-around dash to the pop-up head lights, superb paintwork and panel fit this car is unrivalled on the road.
