Experience the modern allure and cutting-edge performance of the 2012 Tesla Roadster 3.0. With its advanced electric motor producing 288 hp, this innovative car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. The Tesla Roadster Sport 3.0 perfectly combines contemporary design with exhilarating, eco-friendly driving.

At the turn of the 20th Century, electric cars accounted for about one-third of all vehicles on the road, and then almost disappeared from the landscape completely as petrol power took the wheel. More than a century later, technological advances, efficiencies and concerns for a better environmental future spurred their gradual revival – a revival that in 2024 doesn’t seem so gradual anymore with every manufacturer delivering an EV program along with a ground swell of new manufacturers.

But where did it all begin and what was the catalyst for the mainstream manufacturers and consumers to take notice of this paradigm shift? A little (well not so little anymore) start up from Silicon Valley named Tesla Motors was the “who” and the “what” was the game changing Roadster.

Launched in 2008, the Tesla Roadster brought the reality of owning an electric car to the forefront. A sexy, sleek sportscar wrapped in 6831 lithium-ion battery cells, a 215kW electric motor and a single speed gearbox that could propel this rocket from 0-100km/h in 3,7 seconds and deliver a real-world driving range of 400kms all without using a single drop of fuel.

Sold worldwide by Tesla direct to customers, the exclusive Roadster production of just 2,500 were seen in the driveways of tech guru’s like Larry Page and Serge Brin, movie stars like George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio, and personalities like Will-I-Am ands even Jay Leno.

Arriving Downunder in 2010, the Tesla Roadster 2.5 saw a handful of exclusive owners take delivery, with the most desirable being the Roadster Sport. Featuring a 288hp and 400Nm of torque, the Roadster mind-blowing performance even rivaled the performance kings like Porsche’s 911 Turbo.

Charging the Roadster was also a sinch – with the ease of charging from a normal household power outlet up to three-phase and the range and usability was demonstrated with the Roadster traversing the eastern seaboard from Melbourne to Port Douglas.

The Tesla Roadster completed its production run in 2012, laying the foundations for the next generation of Tesla Models - Model’s S,3,X,Y – and the rest is history.

With these exclusive vehicles so closely coveted worldwide, this stunning RHD Roadster Sport is a super-rare find. Featuring the 3.0 Battery Upgrade and finished in Lightning Green Special Metallic with Black Full Leather Sport Interior, equipment includes Interior and Exterior Carbon Packages, Infotainment System, Sport Wheels and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

The 3.0 Battery Upgrade is a significant development to range and performance of the Roadster. Combining the learning from the current Model S program, the Roadster 3.0 sees a 31% improvement from the original Roadster, extending the range upto 600kms.

Travelled just 9,421kms and fresh from its Tesla service, this is most collectible electric supercar is unlike anything you have experienced before.

We are often asked what then next best future investment is, and with Tesla today being the most valuable car company, the Roadster is that and an icon for the ages. It successfully pushed the bounderies of engineering and technology by creating the first modern electric supercar with record-setting performance and efficiency. This is your opportunity to own a piece of that history and while Starman continues to cruise in outer space in his Roadster, yours can be firmly on the ground enjoying the open roads.
