In 2015, the house of the Raging Bull lit the wick of its most fearsome supercar; the Ferrari killing, Nurburgring pulverising, track-attack version of the Aventador- Lamborghini’s own superlight ballistic missile, the Aventador Superveloce (SV) LP750-4. The reason Batman drives a Lamborghini.
Adding 50kw of power, taking the 6.5 litre V12 to a legless driver inducing 552kw with all new variable valve timing, a new exhaust system setup, raising the redline limit from 8,350 to 8,500 rpm and carving out some 50kg’s of weight, the Aventador SV destroys the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 350km/h.And, with vertical downforce increased by 170 per cent and overall aerodynamic efficiency up by 150 per cent the SV is kitted out with a new Le Mans style rear diffuser, quad downpipes, wider side skirting, new underbody aero, a demonically sharp front end and a huge manually adjustable dry-carbon rear spoiler- all in the name of going faster.
Inside the carbon fiber monocoque you’re greeted by exposed CFRP doorskins, alcantara trimmed carbon bucket seats with SV grilled into the material, a properly chunky alcantara and leather wrapped steering wheel and a TFT screen flashing at you when it’s time to change up. It’s all very video-gamer but it’s brilliant.
The extra ace up the SV’s sleeve is the all-new Dynamic Steering, which continuously varies your steering ratio depending on speed, steering angle and what mode you’ve selected. It tames the beast and makes inner-city driving near-easy in short.
The car offered is a 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV ordered in the launch colour combination of New Giallo Orion over two-tone Nero Cosmos/Giallo Taurus trim and has travelled just 3,100 kilometres.
Optioned with:
• Matte carbon fiber exterior details
• Fixed Rear Air Intake in Visible Carbon Fiber
• Transparent Engine cover
• Diantus Forged 20"/21" alloys in high gloss black with black central locking
• Black brake callipers
• Branding Package with Alcantara
• Carbon Skin Package
• Electric and heated seats with details in Carbon Fiber
• Multi-function steering wheel in Alcantara with smooth leather inserts
• Navigation and infotainment system
• Magneto-rheological suspension with lift kit
Within a supercar world where motoring journalism has exhausted hyperbole, the word “Crazy” was all that could be used to describe the sense of acceleration felt when launching the Aventador SV – Lamborghini’s most powerful supercar ever.
Available in as new condition, this supremely optioned, penultimate Lamborghini is one for the white knuckle driver in all of us. It must be driven to be believed.
