Engineered as the purest modern 911 delivering flavours of the past blended with leading edge tech of today, the limited production Type 991 911 R is an immutable modern classic, singularly focused on thrilling the driver.

In March of 2016 Porsche unveiled the limited edition 911 R for the Geneva Motor Show. Just 991 units were produced for Porsche preferred customers.

What do you get in this Package?

Like the GT3, you lose the rear seats for starters but you gain a six-speed manual gearbox with rev-matching technology, which, by the way, is possibly the most satisfying and direct gearbox ever placed in a motorcar encouraging unnecessary downshifts at every opportunity possible.

The front wings are constructed of carbon composite, the roof is magnesium, side and rear glass is polycarbonate, the exhaust system is moulded titanium and the sound insulation has been peeled away to achieve a kerb weight of just 1,370 kilograms.

For the sake of the true driver, at the rear is THE 4.0-Litre naturally aspirated flat six-cylinder from the GT3 RS us car folk have dreams about. With not a turbocharger in sight this free-flowing engine revs out to 8,500-rpm and produces 500 bhp. 0 – 100km/h is 3.7 seconds and its top speed taps out at 322 km/h.

The offered is a special-order “Paint-to-sample” 911 R in one of the earliest classic colours offered by Porsche, Fashion Grey (or Modegrau) over chocolate brown leather interior and houndstooth trim. Having just one owner and travelling 1,111 kilometres since delivery this 911 R presents as new. This example is the only one of its kind delivered in right-hand drive.
