1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

At the 1957 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz introduced a new version of the celebrated 300 SL wearing open coachwork: the 300 SL Roadster. Production started in May of ’57 and the new roadster had a list price of 32,500 DM, 13,500 DM more expensive than its Gullwing brother. Such a greater price tag suggested the importance of this car when new.
