Launched in 1996 to replace the XJ series, the Jaguar XK8 (100) series was to be Jaguars flagship model reviving the grand touring XK name once more.
The first-generation of the XK series shares its XJS-derived platform with the Aston Martin DB7. Both cars were related to an abandoned Jaguar development study in the mid-1980s known as XJ41/XJ42 which was actually going to be named the F-Type.Available in a two-door coupé and two-door convertible the XK8 featured an all new 4.0-litre 32-valve Jaguar AJ-V8 engine which produced 290 horsepower to its rear wheels through a smooth and reliable ZF 5-speed automatic transmission. Achieving 0 - 100 km/h in under 7 seconds.
We are excited to offer a Jaguar XK8 Convertible delivered new through City Automobiles Jaguar on the 30th of June 1997 in Aquamarine Pearl Metallic over Teal leather trim and Green soft roof.
This Jaguar has travelled just 43,600 kilometres and for the past 23 years it has been under the single ownership since new.
A testament to its kilometres travelled today it is in exceptional condition throughout. The paintwork is unblemished, the interior leather shows little to no signs of wear and everything is still present including its factory Jaguar Radio with Harmon Kardon surround sound speaker set.
Accompanying the purchase is its original Jaguar leather wallet, owners manual, service booklet, 3 spare keys and a butler key along with a host of paperwork documenting a Jaguar and Jaguar marque specialist service history.
Arguably one of the finest XK8 Convertibles we’ve seen, there’s never been a better time to secure this modern British classic.
