The V8 Vantage caters for all true piston heads- there is nothing more appetising than the performance of a rear-wheel drive, naturally aspirated and front-engined throaty V8 with an exhaust note you never tire of and totally unrivalled build quality.
In May of 2008 Aston Martin announced its all new technological updates for the Vantage, including improvements to the engine, transmission and suspension. The new Vantage received an all-new lightweight flywheel, 7 Speed Graziano SportShift II gearbox and an upgraded handcrafted 4.7 litre V8 producing a whopping 420hp capable of launching the robust Aston from 0 – 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds.
In 2015, Aston Martin then launched the GT version –a stripped out Vantage S- inline with the company’s very rich and historical racing pedigree that was fitted as standard with a sports exhaust and offered revised potent and sharper handling with excellent feedback.
In its 2016 review- CarAdvice noted that “It’s a superior system to that found in a base model 911 Carrera or Carrera S, and you’ll have to step up to a 911 GT3 before you can truly compare the two brands together”.
