Using the same running gear and body style as the luxurious coupe, the T300 cabriolet added a little top-down finesse to the Goggomobil line-up but in Europe, just 9 of these pint sized drop-top autos were built, never entering full production.
The story was different here in Aus, with the “Coupé Cabriolet” being one of the more popular choices of micro-car, perfectly suited for our warm/dry climate.
The stunning Blue over Grey and Australian made T300 Cabriolet presented here was also subject to an arduous and zero expense spared restoration that spanned close to two years with brilliant results.
Featuring twin-wing mounted rear vision mirrors, double windscreen wipers, body moulded bumpers, a more conventional door action and functional air-intakes, alongside the Peel P50, the Brutsch Mopetta, the Dornier Delta and the Frisky Sport the Goggo Coupé Cabriolet was a far more compelling choice.
