WPCS 2.1.0

The Triumph TR3 was produced between 1955 and 1962 by the Standard-Triumph Motor Company of Coventry, England.

The TR3’s performance was excellent, powered by a 1,991cc inline four cylinder producing 100 horsepower which was five more than the earlier TR2 thanks to its larger SU-H6 Carburettors.

The Triumph was campaigned in races, hill climbs, and rallies across the world with several outright, team, and class victories to its credit.

It was in 1957 a facelift model the TR3A was released, the new model was updated with new wide front grill, exterior door handles, lockable boot handle and came with a full tool kit as standard (an option on the TR3).

Offered here is an Australian delivered 1960 Triumph TR3A presented in British Racing Green in restored condition and features optional overdrive. The subject of a back to bare metal 12-month body restoration in 2017, the Triumphs paintwork presents beautifully, the interior vinyl trim is in great order and mechanically the car runs and drives excellent.

All its life located in New South Wales, this TR3A is accompanied with a host of paperwork documenting its service works dating back to the 1980’s. Here we can identify the car went through a ground up restoration and rebuild in 1982. It was exactly 20 years later it underwent a full mechanical overhaul with a known British sports car specialist in Wollongong, NSW.

In its current ownership after its bodywork restoration it has only ever been fastidiously maintained, serviced annually and driven every so often.

This splendid iconic British classic in a desirable colour combination is the perfect Sunday driver’s car and would suit the avid enthusiast.
