Porsche is a name that has gathered marvel from far and wide, a brand that has stood tall among all others for almost a hundred years. Their latest achievement comes in the form of a compact two seater roadster, the Boxster. The latest version of the spectacular Porsche Boxster presents in three variants, and among these, the top end variant, designed for the best performance, is the GTS.
The car offered here is a MY15 Porsche Boxster 981 GTS delivered new by Gulsons, Porsche Centre Canberra in August 2015 and ordered in the famous classic Guards Red over Black Alcantara .A testament to the 17,910 kilometres travelled this Boxster GTS is in outstanding condition, only having two owners and recently completed major service at Porsche Centre South Sydney.
It is equipped with a 3.4-litre, flat-six engine that steams the roads with a power output of 330hp, and maximum torque of 370Nm. The revolutionary design of this machine lets it zoom past the 100kmph mark in just 4.7 seconds. The machine can climb to top speeds of around 281kmph, probably one of the more formidable vehicles to be set loose on the roads. Besides its thrilling performance capacity, this is a vehicle that is built to bring the most well rounded ride experiences one could ask for.
Fitted as standard to the GTS is Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package that perfectly includes the Sport Plus mode. This adds yet more edge to the throttle response, resistance to the electric-assisted steering and a Launch Control function for lightning getaways. The PDK clicks into a pseudo-race mode and the clock switches into a classy digital/analogue lap-time stopwatch, all whilst exploding out a savage bark with a properly nasty crackle and burble on the overrun through the exhaust.
The GTS is gifted with PASM (Active Suspension Management). The electronically variable active damping system that gives you the ability to stiffen the dampers and lower the ride height by up to 10mm.
The spec includes, 20-inch black-finish Carrera S alloy wheels shod with 235/35 rubber at the front and wider 265/35 tyres at the rear, a unique front spoiler plus rear active spoiler and black-finish Bi-Xenon headlights with standard Porsche Dynamic Light System (adding auto-levelling, speed-sensitivity and dynamic cornering).
Inside the cabin, there is a copious use of Alcantara, notably on the steering wheels and door inlays. The package is finished with parking assist front & rear, making this not only a raw sportscar but also easy to use and live with everyday.
